Gloves In A Bottle — A Product Review (and Giveaway Contest)

My skin is dry, and I really hate the way that dry skin feels. So, when I was asked to review a new moisturizing skin product, Gloves In A Bottle, I jumped at the chance.

Gloves In A Bottle is one of a new generation of skin care products known as shielding lotions. Shielding lotions help your skin retain its own natural moisture while protecting it from environmental irritants that might dry it out.

I’ve been using my Gloves In A Bottle immediately after I shower, and I have found that it greatly relieves that tight “dry-skin” feeling that my skin tends to get during the day. (I really do hate that tightness.)

In fact, since the lotion is so thin, I’ve been using it on my face too. I found that it makes an excellent base coat under makeup and relieves the tightness around my eyes (next to my hands, the skin around my eyes is probably the driest). It’s not sticky and it’s virtually invisible while you are wearing it.

My daughter, who can only use hypoallergenic lotions and cosmetics, was able to use Gloves In A Bottle without any problems at all. Even my husband, who also has very sensitive skin, tried this lotion.

You can find out more information about Gloves in a Bottle on their website: www.glovesinabottle.com.

Do you think you might be interested in trying this product?  I have two free two ounce samples (just the right size for a purse or diaper bag) to give away to OpinionMom readers who live in the U.S. or Canada.

How can you win one of the sample bottles for yourself? It’s simple, leave a comment on this post before midnight on Monday, October 8th, 2007. In your post tell me why you want to try Gloves In A Bottle. I’ll use a random generator to draw the names of two readers and announce the winner’s names next week.

(By participating in this drawing, all participants agree that they are trying this product at their own risk without any warranties or guarantees about product performance from OpinionMom.)

(Disclosure: Product samples were provided by an agent for Gloves In A Bottle.)

    THIS IS FOR ME!!!!

Every winter, without fail, my hands become so tight and dry they bleed. It is SO painful, and I have yet to find anything that works to alleviate the problem. That’s why I need to try this!!

I would love to try this. Every winter my hands crack and bleed. Very painful, not to mention disgusting!

I would love to try this because I am always having to wash my hands with 7 kids and maintaining a house. But the reason I really want to try it is because I use cloth diapers and the inserts are made of microfiber, which sticks to my finger tips and aggravates me, feels like velcro sticking to my fingers and pulling off. Awful feeling!

I have only heard great things about this lotion. I get very dry skin in the winter and from washing my hands all the time at my job. I would love to give this a try.

I work in a church daycare so I have to change a lot of diapers and wash my hands quite often, leaving them very dry. I also have 2 kids of my own, one in diapers!

I use Gloves in a Bottle all the time – I’m an artist and end up washing my hands a zillion times a day (slight exaggeration). Gloves in a Bottle makes it easier to keep my hands clean plus seems to save them from drying up and cracking despite the paint, oil and thinners I get all over them. I also use it whenever I’m cleaning the house (not so often!), gardening or doing any DIY and find it fantastic at shielding my hands from any chemicals and dirt. Great stuff – I get it from the UK Gloves in a Bottle website – excellent service too.

This product might be worth a look too – Skin MD Natural in the UK . It’s a shielding lotion which uses some new skin care technology (whatever that means!) to moisturize 6 times more effectively than the standard glycerin based moisturizers. As a shielding lotion it keeps the chemical irritants out too. It looks pretty good.

Thinks jinki. I did review Skin Md Natural on OpinionMom. Here’s the link: https://opinionmom.com/2007/08/21/skin-md-natural-product-review/
